Robin is a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor, Accredited by the British
Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and The Counselling Society.
Since 1998 he has worked as a Counsellor, Group Worker, Criminal Justice Worker,
Counselling Coordinator, Trainer, and Counselling Supervisor.
He has been in private counselling practice since 2003, working /one-to-one/
with clients in the Hailsham, Newhaven, and St.Leonards-on-Sea areas of East
Sussex.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
Robin draws on over 30-years uniformed service in the British Army, and in
the Police Force.
He has worked with a very wide variety of problems and people, both victims of
crime and offenders, who have been involved in traumatic incidents such as
sudden death, murder, suicide, shootings, stabbings, serious sexual or physical
assaults, burglaries, road traffic accidents, people trying to cope with illness
or injuries, alcohol and drugs misuse, relationship problems, and many other
stressful situations. He currently runs a SSAFA support group for exservice
personnel who are suffering from PTSD.
Although his counselling approach is as a Humanistic, Person-Centred counsellor,
his preferred approach is now Cognitive Behavioural/Solution-Focussed Brief
Therapy. However, he will happily work long term with clients if that is their
preference.
